We got to penn station by amtrak around 2pm. We walked around the city a bit and met up with harrison. He told us how to get over to his place and what time he would be home from work. He seemed really friendly. When we got to harrison and chelsea's place i was jaw dropped for about 30 minutes ( more like 3 hours). I could not handle how much i adored their home immediately. It was like a cute cozy cottage....in an apartment....in brooklyn.. I couldnt grasp it. Just absolutely amazing. Not to mention the welcoming warm note that was left on the kitchen nook table by chelsea. Her words and handwriting in that letter alone were enough to melt hearts. I couldnt wait to hang out with them but just soaked in the feeling of awe i felt from their home until they arrived. I didnt know anything about them and had had no expectations but meeting them i felt surprised and blessed i could meet humans as awesome as them. Sweet funny intelligent warm open hard working as hell. Just all around fantastic people. I will never forget meeting them and their kindness. All the things about them and their home and their interests that sent sparks flying through my mind and heart. Thats how i feel about them. So happy to have met them. Charlie and i had such a great stay in brooklyn and its all thanks to them. It literally manifested a high flying super positive attitude and vibe the whole time we were there. We got to be introduced to a tiny swet coffee shop called rabbit moon in their neighborhood which happens to be where chelsea works one day a week. We also ventured out on broadway street and found a great dive bar called lonewolf. Walking home to their place from the city one day i came across a really great vintage clothing shop called gg nik's also. Charlie and i went on walking adventures and talked to strangers and had great friendly interactions and were all smiles. It was beautiful and wonderful. I had such a good time in brooklyn. I was even considering moving there at one point during my stay.

4.10.16 sunday
The day before the train ride to nyc. There was a lot to be done. I had to repack my pack i had brought way too much. Charlie needed to pack. Then i needed some caribeaners and a speaker for music. Mrs. Dakota was gracious and helped us pack. I had heard that i should pack my own feminine products so i had packed 3 months worth of feminine products. Well it definitely took up a large portion of my pack hahaha. So we took out 2\3. I put on my brown prarie dress with my white fringe cowboy boots for the day. Later while charlie and i drove into town we went and got a beer and called travis who was tending his garden apparently he was having some trouble with root rot on his tomato plants. When we got back mr. Mike and mrs. Dakota took us down to the creek on their land on one of those cool atv carts. It was awesome. They have a beautiful piece of property too. Its on a lake as well as having a creek. I really enjoyed my time at their place. I got to meet grandpa and his dog terry. Lovely family. That morning mr. Mike and i sat on the porch with coffee and he showed me a few things on the fiddle that i could play to charlies songs simply. We had ham black eyes peas cabbage and corn bread for a good luck dinner for our travels. It was delish. The next morning we had some coffee and set out. Mrs. Dakota bought us lunch at a real neat place cant remember the name of it. Then the bank and then to mr. Mikes to say good bye. After that charlies momma dropped us off at the train in Birmingham.

commencer 4.09.16 sweet home alabama
I packed the car drove to brandon to have breakfast with my grandma which was nice. We ate at this breakfast diner she frequents called plummer's that i love. Its got a lot of charm. Got back on the road then met up with my mom dad and janet their friend who had all been in northern georgia looking at houses. They bought me a sandwich.Janet and folks gave me some travelling cash which was super sweet and unexpected. Kept driving and i was getting really excited because Charlie mentioned them being at a friends house with krawfish boil times and beer. I had never had krawfish before and felt eager to try it. I got there a little late. Charlie and mrs. Dakota were waiting patiently. We drove over Ray's house. I was greeted by Ray, Tammy, and Mr. Mike. They were asking where my fiddle was the moment i got there and i loved that as much as it made me nervous. They got out the krawfish shrimp and potatoes. It was all so delicious. The seasoning on everything was divine. Had some cold beer and listened to Mr. Mike and Ray play lovely music. It was a great evening.
